The discussion will include recent testing USIBWC completed on the north side of the Tijuana River along Dairy Mart Road, the intermittent surveys completed near the sewage treatment plant on the south side of the River, and the International Border Monuments that have been recorded.
Mr. Howe, as the Cultural Resources Specialist for the USIBWC, is headquartered in El Paso, Texas. He administers the cultural resources within the USIBWC territory from the Pacific Ocean in San Diego to the Gulf of Mexico along the Rio Grande in Texas. He’s worked throughout the United States and in California with the U.S. Forest Service. He has an M.A. in History from the University of Texas, El Paso, and a B.A. from Arizona State University and from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
